Weekend
What do you think when you hear the word “saint?” Is it possible for a sinner to become a saint? In the beginning of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus spoke to a Jewish audience, clarifying what it means to be accepted by God. The “Beatitudes” in Matthew 5:1-11 give us clues as to how any-one can inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.

SERVICE TIMES ARE CHANGING NEXT WEEKEND
Starting next weekend, May 24/25, Riv's service times will change to 7:00ish pm on Saturday and 9:30ish and 11:30ish am on Sunday. There will be Kids' Church at all three services.
Kids Kamp Registration Has Begun!
Register your children for Kids Kamp! We have more than ten houses around the Lansing area to choose from (see the map down the hall for locations.) There are morning and evening Kamps going on. Evening Kids Kamp is Sunday, June 15 - Thursday, June 19, and morning Kamp is Monday, June 16 - Friday, June 20.
Compassion Shared Pregnancy Drive
The Compassion Team is collecting new and used items for Shared Pregnancy throughout the month of May, including swings, car seats, cribs, clothing (especially for newborns), diapers, wipes and anything else babies need. If you have a crib to donate, even if it needs repair, contact Arthur at 517-719-7637 to make arrangements for collection. Please drop off other items in the Compassion Bin by RivWarehouse in the lobby.
Compassion Team Meeting
The Riverview Compassions Team will be holding their monthly meeting on Saturday, May 17 at 7:15 pm in the MOD. Join us to learn more about this ministry nd get involved in upcoming projects. If you have any questions, please email Marcie at marcie@eriv.net.
La Fiesta Grande - Support the Mexico Missional Trips
At Valhalla Park (300 Keller Road in Holt) on Sunday, May 18 from 11:30 am - 3:30 pm we'll be supporting Riv's missional teams going to Tijuana and Monterrey, Mexico this summer. We will be roasting two pigs and have plenty of other food for La Fiesta, with a suggested donation of $5 per person or $20 per family. There will also be games for all ages, so join us as we come together as a faith community to celebrate and support the RivMexico teams.
Garage Sale for Mexico
Friday, May 30 and Saturday, May 31 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm at 2704 Allium Street in Holt. Come see what treasures you can find! All proceeds will benefit the Mexico missional trips this summer. If you'd like to donate stuff for the sale, drop it off at this address on Saturday, May 17 or Saturday, May 24 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Tech Volunteer Open House
As we transition to our new larger auditorium, Riv needs a lot more volunteers to pull off the more technical side of the weekend services. This includes stage hands and operators for the sound board, lighting board, video cameras, and Power Point. If any of these interest you, come to the Open House on Sunday, June 1 after the 11:30 service. We'll provide lunch and give an overview of each area. Then you'll have a chance to sign-up and receive training for whichever is the best fit for you. All are welcome, even those who do not consider themselves “techies.” This is a great opportunity to get involved and start serving! Please RSVP to eric@eriv.net by Wednesday, May 28.

This program allows Riverview to raise funds that are split between church planting and helping to meet peoples' emergency financial needs.
All you need to do is sign-up here with our organization’s 6-digit code (370945). You can also get more info at RivWarehouse in the lobby.
There is no cost. You'll receive two plastic Meijer tags that you can put on your key chain. Whenever you buy anything (except gas) at Meijer, and scan your tag, Riverview will get a percentage of the sale (.5% with cash/debit cards, 1.0% with Meijer credit cards). Epic (College)
Epic Summer
Epic is on for the sumer! Our main gatherings are on Tuesday nights at 6:00 pm, starting May 13 and going through August 6. Most of the time we'll be in the Erickson Kiva Auditorium on MSU's campus (though on
a few dates in July we will meet in an alternate location). On Thursday nights, we will be doing various social things that will be announced on Tuesdays and through our email group (Email ben@eriv.net to join our email group). You can also check out www.epicstate.net for more details.
